چکیده
A field experiment was conducted during 2018–19 and 2019–20 to assess the influence of precision nitrogen management options in preceding maize (Zea mays L.) on succeeding mustard (Brassica juncea under conservation agriculture sandy loam soil Delhi. The had two main plots with residue (WR) without (WoR) retention four sub-plot treatments N applied {recommended dose (RDN), 33, 50 70% basal RDN +green seeker (GS) based application} uniform recommended 90 kg N/ha for all treatments. positive response residual plus directly application observed growth, dry matter accumulation, yield attributes, nutrient uptake mustard. On a pooled mean basis, crop mulching enhanced 7.1 8.3% seed stalk 9.4 5.2%higher net returns B:C ratio. 50% + GS guided treatment basis gave 5.9 5.2% higher 7.7 7.9% ratio compared conventional RDN. highest land productivity also obtained (`654/day) +GS (`674/day). Overall, study concluded that zero tillage rotation RDN+GS improves mustard, could be implemented maize-mustard cropping system resource-poor semi-arid conditions

Effect of Nutrition Management and Application of Zeolite on Fertilizer Use Efficiency and Water Productivity in Two Maize Cultivars (Zea mays L.) under Deficit Irrigation Conditions
Abstract: To investigate the effect of nutrition management along with zeolite application on the fertilizer use efficiency and irrigation water productivity of two cultivars of maize under deficit irrigation conditions, a field experiment was carried out. The experiment was conducted at Soil and Water Research Institute, Karaj, Iran, in 2015 and 2016, in the form of a factorial split plot...

متن کاملConservation Agriculture Practices in Rainfed Uplands of India Improve Maize-Based System Productivity and Profitability
Traditional agriculture in rainfed uplands of India has been experiencing low agricultural productivity as the lands suffer from poor soil fertility, susceptibility to water erosion and other external pressures of development and climate change. A shift toward more sustainable cropping systems such as conservation agriculture production systems (CAPSs) may help in maintaining soil quality as we...
متن کاملevaluation of tillage, residue management and nitrogen fertilizer effects on co2 emission in maize (zea mays l.) cultivation
introduction: the latest report of the intergovernmental panel on climate change (ipcc) states that future emissions of greenhouse gases (ghgs) will continue to increase and cause climatic change (16). these conditions are also true for iran. the three greenhouse gases associated with agriculture are carbon dioxide (co2), methane (ch4), and nitrous oxide (n2o). the three ghgs associated with ag...
متن کاملMaize (Zea mays L.) Response to Nitrogen Fertilizer under Drought Stress at Vegetative and Reproductive Stages
In the sub-tropics, water and nitrogen are the most important factors limiting the grain yield of maize. The effect of nitrogen (N) rates and drought stress at different growth stages of maize were investigated. Nitrogen treatments consisted of 100, 150, and 200 kgN.ha-1 from the urea source while water stress treatments were composed of irrigation-off since the early 10-leaf stage to emergenc...
